1. Is black the right choice if I already have a black hob?

The glossy black glass panel and dark chimney create a coordinated look with a black hob or oven, while also providing a deliberate contrast against pale cupboards. Choose the finish based on your preferred kitchen style, as the colour does not affect extraction performance.

2. Can I update the hood and keep my current cupboards?

Keeping your existing cupboards may be possible, but installation requirements should be checked first. This is a 60cm wall-mounted angled hood. Ask your installer to verify the installation drawing, available space, wall fixings, required hob clearance and electrical connection before ordering.

3. Should I choose ducted extraction or recirculation?

Ducted extraction takes cooking air outside through a suitable outlet, while recirculation filters the air and returns it indoors using separately sold CBCF002X2 charcoal filters. Recirculation does not remove moisture to the outside. Choose the mode according to your home's ventilation route and installation requirements.

4. What comes with the hood for a ducted installation?

Check the UK delivery contents for the listed 1.5m aluminium duct before purchasing. Existing ductwork is not guaranteed to connect directly, so ask your installer to assess the ducting route, any additional fittings and electrical work separately.

5. Are the charcoal filters included or washable?

CBCF002X2 charcoal filters are sold separately for recirculation. The dishwasher-safe claim applies to the removable aluminium grease filter, not the charcoal filters. Follow the charcoal filter instructions for care and replacement.

6. Will it cope with my usual hob cooking?

Three fan speeds and maximum extraction of 365m³/h allow adjustment for everyday simmering and pan cooking. Actual extraction results depend on installation and cooking conditions, and the maximum extraction rate is not a guarantee of recirculation performance. For frequent heavy frying or large open-plan spaces, consider your specific ventilation requirements.

7. Is the glossy black surface hard to keep clean?

The glossy black glass finish can show fingerprints and splashes more visibly than lighter finishes. Regular gentle wiping with a soft microfibre cloth and mild, non-abrasive cleaning products is recommended. Avoid harsh scourers, which may scratch the glass surface. Cleaning frequency depends on your cooking habits.

8. Does it have complicated controls or light the whole kitchen?

The three fan speeds are controlled using physical push buttons for straightforward operation. The 2W LED light is designed to improve visibility around the hob rather than illuminate the whole room. The hood has an A energy rating, while actual running costs depend on usage and electricity tariff.
