FAQS ⁉

1. What is a venting induction hob?

A venting induction hob combines induction cooking zones and an extractor in the same appliance. Extraction is positioned at the cooking surface rather than in a canopy above it. The complete installation still requires a suitable extraction arrangement planned according to the installation manual.

2. Can it replace a four-zone hob?

It has 2 cooking zones instead of 4, so consider how many pans you normally use at once before choosing it as a replacement. It is not a like-for-like fit for every existing hob opening. The 180mm and 160mm zones are separate and cannot be joined into a flex zone.

3. Will it fit my existing worktop opening?

Check the opening against the specified 350 × 490mm cut-out. The glass surface measures 390 × 520mm, while the body measures 390 × 520 × 245mm, excluding ducting. Matching the cut-out alone does not confirm suitability, as this hob is designed for in-cabinet installation. Your installer should also check the worktop, cabinetry, required clearances and available extraction space against the installation manual.

4. Can I connect it to a standard UK socket?

Do not assume that a standard UK socket connection is suitable. The appliance is rated at 220–240V, 50–60Hz, with a total rated power of 3365W. Before purchase, confirm the UK version's connection requirements and plug provision with CIARRA, and have a qualified electrical professional assess the proposed connection against the installation manual.

5. Can I use recirculation instead of venting outside?

Before ordering, ask CIARRA to confirm whether recirculation or external extraction is supported by the UK configuration you are buying. Use the installation manual to check the required filters, ducting and clearances for the selected arrangement. Confirm the supplied component list separately, as not every part required for your kitchen installation may be included.

6. How should I maintain the filters?

Follow the care instructions for the exact filters supplied with your UK unit. Before purchase, ask CIARRA to confirm which components can be cleaned, which require replacement and how to obtain replacements. Do not wash any filter unless the instructions for that specific component expressly allow it.

7. Which zone has Boost?

Boost is available on the 180mm main cooking zone, increasing its power from 1800W to up to 2200W. The 160mm second zone is rated at 1200W. Refer to the user manual for Boost operation and any applicable operating limits.

8. What timer and safety controls are available?

The hob features a timer of up to 180 minutes, a pause function and a child lock. Consult the user manual for their exact operation. Cooking should still be supervised, and children should be kept away from hot cookware; these controls do not make the hob suitable for unattended cooking.
