💡 FAQs

Does a portable cooker hood really work for indoor BBQ, hot pot or table cooking?

Yes. A portable cooker hood is designed to capture cooking fumes, steam and odours close to the cooking surface. CIARRA HOOD TO GO uses a DC motor with 2 m³/min suction power**, making it suitable for indoor hot pot, electric grill, tabletop BBQ and family gatherings. For best extraction, place the air inlet as close as possible to the cooking surface, ideally within 10 cm.

Do I need to install a portable extractor fan in my kitchen?

No installation is required. Unlike a traditional cooker hood or kitchen extractor fan, a portable extractor hood is plug-in and ready to use. Connect the power adapter, place it near your induction hob, electric grill or electric cooker, and press one button to start.

Can a portable cooker hood be used with a gas hob or open flame?

No. CIARRA HOOD TO GO is not suitable for open flame cooking and should not be used with a gas hob, charcoal grill or any appliance with exposed flames. It is recommended for electric cooking appliances only, such as an induction hob, electric grill, electric hot plate or electric cooker. For better extraction performance, keep the air inlet close to the cooking surface, ideally within 10 cm.

Does RO filtration strip out beneficial minerals? Is drinking RO water healthy?

While it’s true that Reverse Osmosis removes minerals alongside harmful contaminants, it’s important to know that the human body gets 99% of its essential minerals from food, not from tap water. Drinking RO water is perfectly healthy and is the purest form of hydration.
