The connection.
The connection was relatively easy; all that needed to be done was install a new junction box for two connections, at least in my case.
Operation and performance

The hob's performance is very good. Water heats up very quickly. Compared to my Siemens hob, which takes 4 minutes and 48 seconds to boil 700 ml of water, this hob takes only 2 minutes and 26 seconds for the same amount of water, which I think is fantastic.
The fan noise is not unpleasantly loud; you can hear it, but this is normal with induction hobs, and the normal cooking noises mask it.

Operation is also simple; you have to press the power button for about 3 seconds to turn it on, then you select your cooking zone and the desired temperature. If you want to add another cooking zone, you select the cooking zone and the temperature. You continue in this way. If you want to change the temperature of another cooking zone, you tap on the desired cooking zone and then select the temperature. The timer function also works great, and all other functions are well thought out.

I purchased this hob as a replacement to an old ceramic version and am not disappointed. Firstly the item was shipped and the packaging was excellent ensuring no damage was possible in transit. I arranged for an electrician to install the hob as we had to include separate breaker additionally. The feedback from the electrician was positive from an installation perspective. The unit comes with some protection tape to put under the hob on your worktop. Now in relation to the performance of the hob I can confirm that it functions well (first month of use), the flex bridge works well, the buttons are responsive / easy to use and the boost function works well. It took some 2 minutes to bring a pan of water to the boil from cold. Yes there is some noise like all induction hobs that I have seen, I would say this is no better or worse than other models. I also like the very slight textured black finish on the hob surface – I hope this assists with preventing any scratches and surface damage over time. So to conclude I am happy to rate this hob at a full 5 stars at the time of writing, I will update if anything changes. It seems well made and good value for the current purchase price.
